Jimmy Fitch Banjo
“My dad told me that I should learn to play the banjo. The rest is history.”
Jimmy started out playing guitar with his dad's band 34 years ago. Since then, he's
come a long way, playing with former bands Southbound, The New Connection Band, Bluetown,
as wells a being an early member of Hickory Ridge. In addition,
he's also had the opportunity to play some gigs with the Jerry McCoury Band. Jimmy
is a winner of multiple banjo competitions.
Musically influenced by Earl Scruggs, Don Reno, JD Crowe, and Sammy Shelor.
In addition to Rattlesnake Hill, Jimmy also picks with Emery Ledford & Gunpowder Bluegrass,
Hickory Ridge, Walt Crider & the Old-Time Way, James Good & Morning Edition, and the
Tracy Meckley Band
